Terms and Conditions of Boarding
We cannot accept any dog for boarding unless they are registered on our booking system with all details completed by using the boarding request form via the link on our homepage.

All dogs left with us must be wearing a suitable fitting flat collar with an identification tag attached in accordance with current UK law. If your dog is reactive or aggressive towards people then they should arrive wearing a suitably fitted muzzle.

It is your responsibility to ensure your contact information on our system is up to date in case of an emergency.
Please leave safe toys for your dog to provide enrichment and relieve any kennel boredom. You may provide other items such as a bed for your dog, but we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage to any items left in our care.

Please be aware that some dogs suffer stress and anxiety when left in kennels, especially in cases where they may have had previously poor experiences and it is not unusual for these dogs to lose weight which can be significant in some cases. We will monitor and manage this as best we can but any weight loss should reverse once reunited with their owner.

Your dog is expected to be up to date with their standard veterinary vaccinations and also have had the kennel cough vaccine.

All bookings are confirmed once a 25% deposit is received and this is to be paid upon receipt of invoice which is automatically generated upon acceptance of our written quotation. The system will automatically generate reminders for payment.

Payment can be made by debit/credit card or online using the bank details provided on our invoice.
The booking will not be entered on our reservation system until a 25% deposit of the invoice value is made.
Full payment of the outstanding balance must be made in full at least seven days prior to your dog's stay with us. If payment is not received as per these terms your booking will be cancelled and you will lose the dates. The deposit is non-refundable under these circumstances due to your non-payment as per our terms of business.

Quotations are valid for 7 days (in some cases even less if short notice), if we do not receive a response within 7 days we will accept other enquiries and you may miss out on a kennel for your dog. Additional dogs who share the same kennel will incur a 50% discount per dog of our normal boarding rates. Any mistakes discovered on a quote will be rectified in accordance with our normal rates applicable at the time. Statutory English Bank Holidays as defined by U.K. government will incur double rate.

Any amendments to your booking must be made in writing. If you do not receive written confirmation of any amendments requested then you should contact us to check we received your original request.

Cancellations made at least fourteen days before the first day of boarding will be refunded in full using the same method you used for payment. Cancellations made between seven and fourteen days of the first day of boarding will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations made within seven days of the first day of boarding will not be refunded. All cancellations must be made by email and you should ensure you receive written confirmation of the cancellation within 24 hours of your request. We do not accept any responsibility for cancellations not received in time due to technical or system errors.

Failure to collect your dog at the pre agreed date/time will incur additional boarding charges at double our standard rates. If you collect your dog early, we cannot refund any of the booked duration of your dog's stay as it was specifically reserved for your use and cannot be resold in time. Anyone other than yourself who is collecting your dog/s must be advised by email with a name provided. They must bring formal identification to match.

A failure to collect your dog within seven days of the agreed collection date/time without us agreeing any extension in writing, will automatically initiate us contacting a local rescue centre to care for the dog.

We reserve the right to refuse entry for boarding if any of our terms and conditions are not met.

All correspondence concerning bookings should be sent to contact@hampshiredogboarding.com.

If your dog requires veterinary treatment during the period of their stay then we have a duty of care under the Animal Boarding Act 2006 to ensure the animal receives the necessary treatment. You will be responsible for all veterinary costs incurred, including our staff members time, and these must be settled at point of collection of your dog. Although we take every necessary step to look after any dog left in our care, we cannot accept any responsibility for any injury, loss or death which was outside our control and normal methods of operation.

We cannot accept responsibility for damage or soiling to any beds, blankets, rugs, etc left with your dog during their stay. Sometimes dogs who are left in kennels will destroy their beds or toys, even if they are not normally prone to do so. We do not have the facilities to clean these items if they are of a certain size or material so they will be returned to you in a bin bag if necessary. If we notice your dog destroying an item left with them we will remove it to prevent any further damage. Toys will be used to interact with your dog but will not be left with them when unattended.

Dogs who are already showing signs of illness cannot stay with us and should be under the care of an appropriately qualified vet. We are not qualified to administer any medicines to your dog and cannot accept responsibility in doing so on your behalf.

We may photograph your pet during their stay with us and use any photographs for social media or advertising purposes. If you object to this please confirm your objection in writing at time of acceptance of your booking.

Confirmation and payment of your booking automatically means acceptance of all the above terms and conditions of boarding.
